Biograd na Moru (Biograd n \/ M)<\/strong> is a city, port and tourist center that administratively belongs to the Zadar County. It is located 30 km south of Zadar.<\/p>\n

It lies on a peninsula surrounded by marinas and a waterfront with an unforgettable view of one of the most picturesque sea straits; The Pa\u0161man Channel and the islets scattered there. It is therefore no wonder the rich tourist history. On its northern side is the bay Bo\u0161ana, and on the southern Soline.<\/p>\n

In front of the town are the islands of Planac and Sv. Katarina (with lighthouse). The average air temperature in January is 7 \u00b0 C, and in July 24.5 \u00b0 C, with an average annual rainfall of 840mm. In the bay Soline there is a large, public sandy beach surrounded by pine forests.<\/p>\n

The proximity of the National Parks Kornati, Paklenica, Krka and Plitvice Lakes, and the proximity of cultural and historical cities of Zadar, Sibenik and Knin, and the towns of Nin, Skradin and Benkovac, Biograd guests can travel to areas that are among the most beautiful parts of Croatia.<\/p>\n

Numerous cultural and entertainment programs and sporting events are on offer during the summer months.
\nBiograd is a port, often visited by boaters whose destination is the Kornati archipelago. Regattas, sailing schools, and other nautical activities are organized throughout the year. Biograd marinas have a thousand berths in the sea and two hundred places on land. They are open all year round. In Biograd there is a modern tennis center and a number of sports and recreational facilities such as sailing schools, swimming, diving, windsurfing, water skiing, mini golf, jet ski, beach volleyball, fishing, parasailing, and large bike trails around Vrana Lake is 40 km long.
\nA hundred meters from the city center are a variety of pebble and sandy beaches with crystal clear sea. Along the entire city along the coast are numerous smaller beaches that can perfectly suit those who want to get away from the crowds. A large number of restaurants and cafes will surely allow you to complete your moments of rest or fun in the evening.<\/h4>\n

Biograd is a local trade and traffic center, with good connections to its hinterland, surrounding coastal settlements, towns and the island of Pasman.
\nThe main Adriatic road passes through the city, and some 15 km north is the Benkovac junction on the Zagreb-Split highway. Biograd is the center of the Riviera, which includes Sv. Petar na Moru, Turanj, Sv. Filip i Jakov, Biograd, Pako\u0161tane and Drage, as well as several settlements on the island of Pa\u0161man: Tkon, Kraj, Pa\u0161man, Barotul, Mrljane, Nevi\u0111ane, Dobropoljana, Banj and \u017ddrelac, and Vrgada on the island of the same name.<\/h4>\n
